ATV Trails
All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and Biking
Lake Mackenzie has approximately 35+ miles of ATV trails available for ATV, dirt bike, and mountain bike enthusiasts to enjoy. ATV riding is recognized as a valued recreational activity at the lake. While most recreational areas prohibit ATV access due to potential conflicts with other users or impacts on the natural environment, Mackenzie Municipal Water Authority remains committed to preserving this opportunity for our visitors.
The continuation of ATV access is dependent upon strict adherence to posted rules and regulations. Following the rules is essential to ensuring that this activity can remain available in the future. Current requirements may be obtained through Mackenzie Bait & Tackle.
All riders are required to:
- Obtain a day permit
- Pay all applicable fees
- Maintain a current, signed release form on file
- Comply fully with all posted rules and regulations
The most recent waiver/release form and ATV guidelines will be available below.
Riders are encouraged to print the release form in advance and bring it with them to turn in when they arrive to save time.
Visitors are encouraged not only to follow the rules themselves, but also to promote safe and responsible trail use among others. With the cooperation of all participants, ATV riding will remain a distinctive and lasting attraction at Lake Mackenzie.
